272 is an exploration through closure. The death of my father. The inevitability of an aging body. The lack of foresight of my late teens. My first love.

272 is raw, rough around the edges. Recorded through a cheap, old Yamaha amplifier with a non-functioning distortion channel. The cymbals are round and dark, twenty years old with a thin layer of cigarette smoke and finger smudges.

272 was written over the course of four years and was performed and recorded in a week-long session in the abandoned house my father died in.

272 is rock with a bit of grunge and a hint of punk. It rings in echoes of Incubus, Taking Back Sunday, System Of A Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Mars Volta, Weezer.

272 is the first of many albums to come, and the first of my "Pop Rock" albums.
